Inflammation is a Hot Topic

Inflammation is a hot topic which means there is plenty of misinformation out there! There are a lot of opinions and products sold with the promise of lowering inflammation, but the truth is that there is little quality research to back up most claims. Claudia Wallis, in Scientific American, summed this up well, noting that there is interesting research around ingredients like ginger, turmeric, and blueberries, but ongoing research is needed to clearly see if these things reduce inflammation significantly in humans — especially humans with chronic inflammation.


The best thing you can do is remain skeptical of sweeping health claims.
