Vivo Chosen for 2025 VOA Community Health Incubator

Atlanta, GA – June 9, 2025 – Vivo, the premier small-group strength training program designed specifically for adults 55+, has been chosen to participate in the 2025 VOA Futures Fund Community Health Incubator offered by the Volunteers of America (VOA).

Vivo will be one of six start-ups taking part in an intensive 12-week program this summer designed to support innovative social enterprises to expand their business and increase their impact.

Established more than 125 years ago, VOA is one of the nation’s largest comprehensive human services organizations, employing more than 15,000 professionals serving more than 2 million people a year. They provide affordable housing, skilled nursing care, veteran services, and other assistance services primarily to low-income and at-risk populations across the United States.

Volunteers of America offers a range of living and care options for older adults as well as home and community-based healthcare services. “As part of VOA’s focus is specifically on older adults, it’s a great opportunity to expand the impact of our work through this wonderful partnership,” says Eric Levitan, founder and CEO of Vivo.

The Community Health Incubator launched in 2022 with support from the Humana Foundation and Seed Spot. The program seeks to address community health disparities by helping companies grow their business and fundraise through a combination of grants, business training and mentoring, potential partnership opportunities, and access to venture capital investments.

“Vivo should be accessible to everyone regardless of means – we are all aging, and we all need to focus on maintaining our strength to improve our health and independence,” says Levitan. “I’m excited about bringing Vivo to new audiences.”
